Baseball Recap: Lexington Comes Up Short

Lexington fell victim to Walkertown and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 18-0 to the Wolfpack. The Yellowjackets' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Walkertown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Bugs Lexington Yellowjackets challenge Western Guilford Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lexington is facing Western Guilford at the right time seeing as Western Guilford is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Walkertown, they will square off against McMichael at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
