Soccer Recap: Mt. Eden Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Mt. Eden won the last time they faced San Leandro and things went their way on Friday too. The Mt. Eden Monarchs never let the San Leandro Pirates onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Given the Monarchs' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Pirates are ranked 499th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mt. Eden's one-goal win came courtesy of Diego Villagomez, who's now up to five this season.

Eden's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Kennedy has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. As for San Leandro, they will host Hayward at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
