Volleyball Recap: Faith Academy Extends Winning Streak to Four

Faith Academy waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Second Baptist University-Model Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since September 3, 2024.

Faith Academy was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-13, 21-25, 25-20, 15-10.

Jayleen Jackson paced Faith Academy's offense, picking up 19 kills. Jackson got some help from Eve Hyslop and her 20 assists. Jackson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Faith Academy now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Second Baptist University-Model, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Faith Academy will challenge rival The Covenant Preparatory School at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, the Eagles are set to square off against their familiar foe the Eagle at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
