Volleyball Recap: Buckeye Local Takes a Loss

Buckeye Local was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cambridge Bobcats.

While Buckeye Local ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21.

Jenna DelVecchio paced Buckeye Local's offense, picking up ten kills. DelVecchio got some help from Samantha Westfall and her 13 assists. Brooke Kovalski controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Buckeye Local's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Cambridge, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.

Buckeye Local has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Edison on the 29th. As for Cambridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Zanesville on the 29th.
