Volleyball Recap: Mahopac Indians vs. Yorktown Huskers
Mahopac lost against Yorktown back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mahopac Indians took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yorktown Huskers.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 24-26, 25-18, 26-24.
Mahopac lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Andriana DiVincenzo, who had 12 digs, four kills, and two aces. DiVincenzo is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in the last six games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Bella DeChico, who had 11 digs, eight kills, and 15 assists.
Mahopac's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Yorktown, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2-2.
Mahopac will challenge Brewster at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brewster is coming into the game with three straight victories at home, so Mahopac will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Yorktown, they will square off against Ketcham at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Yorktown is facing Ketcham at the right time seeing as Ketcham is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
