DJ Joyce and Co. Win 23rd in a Row
DJ Joyce was instrumental in extending Mount Airy's winning streak to 23 on Friday. Joyce rushed for 72 yards and two touchdowns, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long.
Mount Airy pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Joyce and Mount Airy will head out to challenge South Stokes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Taeshon Martin Dazzles in Mount Airy Win
Mount Airy picked up their 23rd consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Taeshon Martin. Martin was dynamite, rushing for 182 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 116 rushing yards dating back to last season.
If history really does repeat itself, Martin might just drop another big game when he faces off against South Stokes on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Martin saw the Sauras), he rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown.

Jymir Billips Delivers Best Performance of Season
Starmount was led to victory by Jymir Billips, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Billips rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023.
North Stokes had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Billips it was a similar story. When Billips last faced the Vikings back in September of 2023, he picked up 58 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 36 yards and a touchdown.

A Season-Best Effort from Kinston Crater Leads Starmount over North Stokes
On Friday, Starmount got the W thanks in part to Kinston Crater playing the best football he has all season. Crater rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also picked up 59 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Unfortunately for North Stokes, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Crater. Crater rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Vikings duked it out back in September of 2023.
