Marriotts Ridge has gone 9-1 against Long Reach recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Marriotts Ridge will square off against Long Reach at 4:00 p.m. Marriotts Ridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season.

While Marriotts Ridge's victory against Reservoir wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Marriotts Ridge skirted past Reservoir 11-10. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for Marriotts Ridge, who until this game were averaging four runs allowed.

The team relied heavily on Gianna Peluso, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Tasch, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Long Reach). They put the hurt on Atholton with a sharp 19-8 win on Wednesday.

Marriotts Ridge pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.1 runs over those games. As for Long Reach, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Marriotts Ridge came out on top in a nail-biter against Long Reach when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 17-16. The rematch might be a little tougher for Marriotts Ridge since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
