Volleyball Recap: Bradley-Bourbonnais Boilermakers vs. Sandburg Eagles
Bradley-Bourbonnais lost against Sandburg back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Boilermakers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. The Boilermakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Bradley-Bourbonnais sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 21-25, 25-21.
Harper Yuska paced Bradley-Bourbonnais' offense, picking up eight kills. Yuska got some help from Player #5 and her 13 assists. Harper Tollefson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Bradley-Bourbonnais' loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Sandburg, their victory ended a nine-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-18.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Bradley-Bourbonnais will square off against rival Lincoln-Way Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sandburg is set to take on their familiar foe Stagg at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
