Braeden Burton turned in his biggest game of the season on Tuesday, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with more than five innings. For the year, Burton has an ERA of 3.35 over 23 innings pitched.
Burton's strong effort led Franklin Community over Martinsville and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
