For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last six times Wyoming Valley West and Dallas have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Spartans lost 35-13 to the Mountaineers. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Mountaineers recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Despite the loss, Wyoming Valley West still got an impressive performance from John Richards, who picked up 198 receiving yards and two scores. With that strong performance, Richards is now averaging an impressive 112.9 receiving yards per game.
