Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is St. Clair's Ninth in Last 11 Outings

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Saturday. St. Clair won by a set and slipped past Rolla 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win St. Clair has posted since September 22nd.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day St. Clair got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 19-25, 27-25.

St. Clair was led to victory by Addy DeClue and Kaylee Martin. DeClue had 13 digs and two aces, while Martin had 15 digs and one assist. Those 15 digs gave Martin a new career-high.

St. Clair has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-12-1 record this season. As for Rolla, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. St. Clair will square off against New Haven at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rolla, they will venture away from home to square off against Licking at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
