Baseball Recap: Yorktown Comes Up Short

Fishers hit Yorktown with a four-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. Yorktown lost 9-3 to Fishers. Yorktown was not able to make up for their loss to Fishers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Yorktown saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reid Turner, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Turner has become a key player for Yorktown: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-10 otherwise.

This is the second loss in a row for Yorktown and nudges their season record down to 9-11. As for Fishers, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-4.

Coming up, Yorktown will be playing at home against Oak Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Fishers, they will head out to square off against Franklin Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
