Softball Recap: Girard Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Range, Girard was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over the LaBrae Vikings. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Indians as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Brooklyn Broll spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits.

On the hitting side, Quinn Wilster was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyra Bell, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

The victory got Girard back to even at 10-10. As for LaBrae, their loss ended an 11-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-4.
