Basketball Game Preview: Hercules Titans vs. Alhambra Bulldogs

The Hercules Titans will head out to face off against the Alhambra Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Hercules is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 64 points two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Antioch on Saturday. They took a 44-26 bruising from the Panthers. The matchup marked the Titans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Alhambra unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 54-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lynbrook.

Hercules' loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Alhambra, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4.

Hercules didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Alhambra in their previous matchup back in February of 2020, but they still walked away with a 57-53 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Alhambra's Jack Watkins, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for Hercules to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
