Basketball Recap: Flint Hill Takes a Loss

Flint Hill was the 60-57 winner over Sidwell Friends when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Flint Hill Huskies fell to the Sidwell Friends Quakers 54-50. The contest marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Sidwell Friends' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ian Condon, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. Condon has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Caleb Gillus, who posted eight points.

Flint Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Sidwell Friends, they pushed their record up to 19-5 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.

Flint Hill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 89-68 victory against St. Andrew's Episcopal on the 17th. As for Sidwell Friends, they will take on Georgetown Day at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Sidwell Friends is facing Georgetown Day at the right time seeing as Georgetown Day is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
