Volleyball Recap: Churchill Find Success + How To Watch

Churchill won the last time they faced Urbana and things went their way on Monday too. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Hawks 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (101-95) Churchill actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-20, 15-25, 25-23, 15-8.

Churchill can attribute much of their success to Hannalee Chevez, who had 14 assists and five digs. That's the most assists Chevez has posted over her last six matchups.

Churchill was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive contests.

Churchill now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Urbana, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Churchill and Urbana will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bulldogs will challenge rival Bethesda-Chevy Chase at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Urbana is set to square off against their familiar foe Frederick at 5:30 p.m. on the 24th.
