Basketball Recap: Catholic Central Takes a Loss

Catholic Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 73-67 heartbreaker at the hands of the University of Detroit Jesuit Cubs. While losing is never fun, the Shamrocks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Cubs are ranked first).

Catholic Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for University of Detroit Jesuit, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 18-0.

Catholic Central will take on Okemos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for University of Detroit Jesuit, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 73-67 win against Central on the 31st.
