McFarland had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-4 win over the Baraboo Thunderbirds. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Thunderbirds on April 8th, they had to take a 6-3 loss.

McFarland's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Baraboo, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McFarland will face off against River Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Baraboo, they will square off against Portage at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Thunderbirds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
