Volleyball Recap: Bonneville Lakers vs. Bountiful RedHawks
Bonneville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Bountiful RedHawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the RedHawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.
Bonneville couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Bountiful a tough time in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 31-29, 25-15.
Semisi Christensen paced Bonneville's offense, picking up ten kills. Christensen got some help from Jase Musgrave and his 25 assists. Finally, Zachary Dickamore kept Bonneville's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.
Bountiful found their leader in sophomore Boston Nelson, who had nine digs and two aces.
Bonneville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Bountiful, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.
Bonneville has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Viewmont on the 17th. As for Bountiful, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Farmington on the 16th.
