Joliet West extended their winning streak to 16 on Thursday, bumping them up to 32-3. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Romeoville Spartans. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lexie Grevengoed paced Joliet West's offense, picking up eight kills. Grevengoed got some help from Julia Adams and her 16 assists. Finally, Faith Jordan kept Joliet West's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

As for Romeoville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-27 record this season. Spartans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Joliet West since Thursday.

Despite the loss, Romeoville still got an impressive performance from Skyler Carrasco, who had 12 digs and two assists.
