Softball Recap: Schuylkill Haven's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Schuylkill Haven was the 4-3 winner over Schuylkill Valley when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hurricanes took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers on Monday.

Allison Scherer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

Schuylkill Haven's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4. As for Schuylkill Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Panthers beat Schuylkill Haven by a score of 5-2 later that day.
