Softball Recap: Cy-Fair Comes Up Short

If Cy-Fair was feeling good fresh off their 7-1 takedown of Stratford two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Cy-Fair fell just short of the Cypress Creek Cougars by a score of 8-7 on Tuesday. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Cy-Fair's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 11-7. As for Cypress Creek, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-10-1.

Cy-Fair has already played their next game, an 11-2 victory against Cypress Falls on the 21st. As for Cypress Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-1 win against Northbrook on the 21st.
