Basketball Recap: Garfield Heights Takes a Loss

Garfield Heights lost against Lorain back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The contest between the Garfield Heights Bulldogs and the Lorain Titans didn't end well, with the Garfield Heights Bulldogs falling 53-35. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lorain can attribute much of their success to Samone Whitt, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Whitt has been hot, having posted ten or more rebounds the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Danasia Dower, who posted nine points.

Garfield Heights' loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Lorain, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

When Garfield Heights and Lorain next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Garfield Heights will try to stop Warrensville Heights' seven-game winning streak when the meet at 12:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Similarly, Lorain will try to stop Columbia's three-game winning streak when the meet at 12:30 p.m. on December 28th.
