Baseball Game Preview: Prosser Falcons vs. Westmont Sentinels

The Prosser Falcons will square off against the Westmont Sentinels at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Prosser managed to slip by Agricultural Science the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Prosser lost 12-3 to Agricultural Science two weeks ago.

Jeremy Del Rio was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last ten games he's played dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Westmont came up short against Mendota on Saturday and fell 8-4. The Sentinels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Westmont saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Briggs Templeton, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. That's the most hits Templeton has posted since back in May of 2024. Peter Papadopoulos also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Westmont's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Prosser, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
