Carter had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.7 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They walked away with a 63-54 win over the Knoxville Central Bobcats. Given the Green Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Bobcats are ranked 214th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Carter's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Greyson Watson, who posted 12 points along with six assists and five boards. The dominant performance gave Watson a new career-high in assists. Another player making a difference was Zion Oliver, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds.

Carter pushed their record up to 20-6 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.9 points per game. As for Knoxville Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-18.

Carter will look to defend their home court on Friday against Fulton at 7:30 p.m. As for Knoxville Central, they will face off against South-Doyle at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
