Basketball Recap: Walter Johnson Takes a Loss

Walter Johnson was the 71-50 winner over Damascus when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The game between the Walter Johnson Wildcats and the Damascus Hornets didn't end well, with the Walter Johnson Wildcats falling 68-50. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row dating back to last season.

Walter Johnson's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Damascus, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-1.

Walter Johnson will take on Gaithersburg in a holiday battle at on Monday. Gaithersburg has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 187 points over their last three contests. Damascus and Sherwood will compete for holiday cheer on Monday. Sherwood will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Damascus surely won't give up without a fight.
