Baseball Recap: Buchholz Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Buchholz faced off against Columbia on Friday. The Bobcats fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. The Bobcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 7-1.

Reed Thomas was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched.

Buchholz now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Columbia, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buchholz will square off against North Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbia, they will take on Suwannee at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
