Baseball Recap: Emmett Huskies vs. Nampa Bulldogs

Emmett extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 4-17 in the process. They lost 8-1 to the Nampa Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Huskies have lost by exactly seven runs.

As for Nampa, they pushed their record up to 11-12 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games.

For Nampa's part, Jaxon Wade made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and not a single walk). Wade has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple.

Emmett does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nampa, they have already played their next matchup, a 10-0 victory against Vallivue on the 1st.
