Live Oak's Trevor Bearden rumbled for the longest rushing play in Santa Teresa this season in his game against Gilroy last week. Bearden ran for 80 yards on the play and finished with 401 on the day as his team topped the Mustangs.
Fans got a thrill when Erik Ornduff and Bearden connected against Gilroy. The connection went for 64 yards, the longest such play in the league this season.
Bearden was the most successful running back in the league this week. Mitch Crowley also contributed to the rushing game with 57 yards on the ground.
Bearden was a beast in the backfield as Live Oak beat Brian Boyd's team.
Spencer Barnes put up the best numbers in passing as Leigh bested Hill. He finished with a total of 13 completions for 139 yards and 4 touchdowns. Barnes' favorite target this week was Brian Galvin, who caught 4 passes for 42 yards.
Cole Griffin was the best receiver in Santa Teresa this week as Mike Gemo's team defeated the Mustangs. Griffin racked up 5 receptions for 131 yards.
He went 13-20 with 0 interceptions.
Bearden was a passing and rushing force as the Acorns topped Gilroy.
Evergreen Valley lost to Scotts Valley 41-3 last week, the largest margin of any game.
