Softball Recap: Northwestern Comes Up Short

Northwestern lost against Shelby back in April of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Huskies fell just short of the Whippets by a score of 5-4.

Northwestern has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season. As for Shelby, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.

Northwestern didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-9 defeat against Mapleton on the 12th. As for Shelby, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-3 victory against Ashland on the 12th.
