Baseball Recap: Buckfield Comes Up Short

If Buckfield was riding high fresh off their 9-3 takedown of Carrabec on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bucks took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Dominic Saints on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bucks of the 8-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2021.

Buckfield saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe White, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Buckfield now has a losing record of 1-2. As for St. Dominic, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1.

Coming up, Buckfield will host Telstar at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Dominic, they will venture away from home to challenge Waynflete at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
