Basketball Recap: Pelion's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Pelion extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Kolton Rogers. The Panthers blew past the Whitmire Wolverines 47-26 on Monday with plenty of help from Rogers, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 14 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Pelion's points.

Despite the loss, Whitmire had strong showings from Josiah Hamilton, who posted four points, and Malaciah Douglas, who earned six points.

Pelion's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Whitmire, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pelion won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Wagener-Salley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitmire, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Newberry Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
