Baseball Recap: Alliance Comes Up Short

After flying high against Tuscarawas Valley on Thursday, Alliance came back down to earth. The Aviators fell just short of the Field Falcons by a score of 5-3 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Aviators have suffered since May 7, 2024.

Alliance saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bo Davis, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Alliance moved to 9-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Field, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Coming up, Alliance will square off against Minerva at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Aviators' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Field, they will take on Streetsboro at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Falcons 2.8, the Rockets 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
