            Softball Preview: Lompoc Braves vs. Righetti Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            The Lompoc Braves will square off against the Righetti Warriors at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
While Lompoc's  win against Cabrillo wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Braves skirted past the Conquistadores  5-3. That's two games straight that the Braves have won by  exactly two  runs.

 Lily Drysol made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   seven  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with three  RBI and one  double.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Gabi Arias, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  runs and one  triple. Another player making a difference was  Rianna Stouppe, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Righetti won against Cabrillo  on Friday with six  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Wednesday. The Warriors came out on top in a nail-biter against Arroyo Grande, sneaking past  6-5. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.
 Righetti has  been performing  well recently as they've  won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Lompoc,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 10-3.
