Volleyball Recap: Elkhorn North's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but Elkhorn North unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Papillion-LaVista South Titans. The Wolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Titans earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Elkhorn North started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 26-24, 25-21, 25-23.

Reagan Wallraff paced Elkhorn North's offense, picking up 27 kills. Wallraff got some help from Hayden Booth and her 36 assists. Nora Morgan controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Papillion-LaVista South was led to victory by Ella Eymann and Finley Moone. Eymann had ten digs and two aces, while Moone had 13 kills, eight digs, and two blocks. That's the most blocks Moone has posted since back in September of 2024.

Elkhorn North's defeat dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Papillion-LaVista South, they have been performing well recently as they've won 16 of their last 19 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

Elkhorn North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Standing Bear on the 11th. As for Papillion-LaVista South, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Skutt Catholic on the 11th.
