Volleyball Recap: Hialeah Educational Academy's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Hialeah Educational Academy proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Greater Miami Academy Warriors, sneaking past 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Biggie sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Hialeah Educational Academy took Greater Miami Academy into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-23, 22-25, 20-25, 15-11.

Hialeah Educational Academy's offense was headlined by Ryan Lopez and Kenny Beltran, who picked up six kills apiece. Beltran really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with 14. Finally, Lopez was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Hialeah Educational Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-7. As for Greater Miami Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Coming up, Hialeah Educational Academy will venture away from home to square off against Don Soffer Aventura at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Biggie are facing the Barracuda at the right time seeing as the Barracuda are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Greater Miami Academy, they will host Goleman at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
