Basketball Recap: Hillsboro Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Hillsboro Trojans were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 53-49 to the Holcomb Longhorns. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Longhorns are ranked 14th).

Hillsboro now has a losing record at 5-6-1. As for Holcomb, their win bumped their record up to 10-3-1.

Hillsboro has already played their next match (against Remington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Holcomb will welcome Hugoton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
