Softball Recap: Magnolia Comes Up Short

Magnolia lost against Genoa Central back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Magnolia Panthers lost 13-4 to the Genoa Central Dragons.

Magnolia saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophie Smith, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Another was Adelynn Bonds, who scored a run and stole Two bases.

Magnolia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Genoa Central, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Magnolia Panthers duke it out with El Dorado Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Genoa Central, they will head out to take on Horatio at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Genoa Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
