Basketball Recap: Nezperce Wins Going Away Against Highland

Nezperce hadn't done well against Highland recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Nezperce Nighthawks put the hurt on the Highland Huskies with a sharp 46-22 win. That 24 point margin sets a new team best for the Nighthawks this season.

The victory (which was Nezperce's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Highland, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Nezperce will be home for the holidays to greet Grangeville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Highland, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Clearwater Valley at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
