Volleyball Game Preview: Grant Community Bulldogs vs. Grayslake Central Rams

Grant Community is 2-8 against Grayslake Central since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Bulldogs will take on the Rams at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Monday, Grant Community came up short against Warren Township and fell 2-0. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-12.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Grayslake Central's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of Libertyville by a score of 2-1.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 24-26, 25-14.

Grant Community's defeat dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Grayslake Central, their loss dropped their record down to 22-5.

Grant Community couldn't quite get it done against Grayslake Central in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 2-0. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
