Baseball Recap: Lakeview Beats Grand Ledge for Their Third Straight Victory

While Lakeview's win against Grand Ledge wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans won by a run and slipped past the Comets 5-4. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Lakeview got a great performance from Camden Bradley as he tossed nine innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits.

At the plate, Gavin Deal was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Sam McCullough was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases and one run.

Lakeview's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Grand Ledge, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5.

Lakeview will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Comets: the pair will be back at it again later today.
