Preview: Onsted Wildcats vs. Hillsdale Hornets
The Onsted Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Hillsdale Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Onsted will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
Last Thursday, Onsted strolled past Blissfield with points to spare, taking the game 33-14.
Aidan Paquin was a one-man wrecking crew for Onsted as he rushed for 143 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries. Hunter Kelley also helped out by tossing the rock for 313 yards.
Meanwhile, Hillsdale fell victim to Clinton's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 36-0 loss at the hands of the Redwolves. While losing is never fun, Hillsdale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 257th, while Clinton is ranked 48th).
With Onsted's win and Hillsdale's defeat, both teams now sport identical 2-6 records.
Onsted and Hillsdale were almost perfectly matched up in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, but Onsted suffered an agonizing 29-28 loss. Can Onsted avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
