Softball Recap: Lakeland Comes Up Short

Lakeland lost against Antigo back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Robins. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lakeland's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Antigo, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-5.

Looking ahead, Lakeland will square off against Northland Pines at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Thunderbirds are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Antigo, they will face off against Medford at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Robins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
