Volleyball Recap: Fernley's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Fernley entered their tilt with Pershing County on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Mustangs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Friday.

Justice Artiaga paced Fernley's offense, picking up seven kills. Artiaga were helped by Emma Masters and Alauna Escartin, who contributed six assists each. Artiaga and Escartin didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with three apiece.

Fernley's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Pershing County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Fernley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Smith Valley on the 22nd. As for Pershing County, they will challenge Oasis Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
