Soccer Game Preview: Sterling vs. Port Neches-Groves

The Sterling Rangers will face off against the Port Neches-Groves Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Sterling is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Beaumont United a 3-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Rangers' winning goal came courtesy of Matthew Gonzalez.

Meanwhile, Port Neches-Groves hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They and West Brook finished up their matchup with a 2-2 draw.

With that draw, Port Neches-Groves' record moves to 11-0-3. As for Sterling, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-0-2 and their overall record up to 4-2-3.
