Basketball Game Preview: Cloudland Highlanders vs. Hampton Bulldogs

Cloudland is 0-10 against Hampton since February of 2020 but things could change on Thursday. The Cloudland Highlanders will take on the Hampton Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Saturday, Cloudland lost to Sunbright on the road by a 47-33 margin. The contest marked the Highlanders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Hampton has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were dealt an 81-52 loss at the hands of Watauga on Thursday.

Cloudland will have to contain Bryce Fagan as he made an impact in Hampton's last game. He almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Jayden Nave, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

Hampton's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Cloudland, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Cloudland was taken down by Hampton 86-34 in their previous meeting back in February. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Cloudland was down 42-20.
