Football Recap: West Forsyth Wolverines vs. Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines
West Forsyth couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 35-28 to the Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines on Thursday.
West Forsyth didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Chase Hayden and Drew Fankhauser.
Leading Prince Avenue Christian to victory were Ben Musser and Andrew Beard. Musser rushed for 192 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, while Beard rushed for 187 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. Hudson Hill got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.
West Forsyth will venture away from home to square off against Marietta at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. West Forsyth is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road dating back to last season. As for Prince Avenue Christian, they will face off against Mallard Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Prince Avenue Christian is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games dating back to last season.
