Volleyball Recap: Bria Taylor and Zyriah Hailey Secure Win for North Shore

After losing to Channelview the last time they met, North Shore decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mustangs walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Falcons on Friday.

North Shore was especially dominant in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 17-25, 25-18, 25-15.

Leading North Shore to victory were Zyriah Hailey and Bria Taylor. Hailey had 11 digs and three aces, while Taylor had 15 digs, six kills, two aces, and one block. Those 15 digs gave Taylor a new career-high.

North Shore's win bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Channelview, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

When North Shore and Channelview next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Mustangs will square off against Atascocita and their four-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Channelview will try to stop Goose Creek Memorial's four-game winning streak when they meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
