Baseball Recap: Evangelical Christian's Run of Three Straight Wins Now Over

It was a good run, but Evangelical Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Corinth Warriors.

Evangelical Christian got a good showing from Caleb Naffziger, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Knox Aaron was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Evangelical Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Corinth, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Evangelical Christian will take on Scotts Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Corinth, they will face off against Lausanne Collegiate at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
