Basketball Recap: Pleasanton Comes Up Short

Pleasanton lost against Osawatomie back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pleasanton Blu-Jays fell to the Osawatomie Trojans 53-48. The loss was the Blu-Jays' first of the season.

Jasper Sallee was a one-man wrecking crew for Osawatomie as he shot 4-for-7 from deep and almost dropped a double-double on 30 points and nine rebounds. Those 30 points gave Sallee a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Walker Beets, who posted nine points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pleasanton fell to 2-1. As for Osawatomie, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Pleasanton will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Central Heights on January 7, 2025. Osawatomie will take on Wellsville in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Osawatomie is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54 points per game this season.
